Cyber insurance is becoming an absolute necessity for small businesses. Unfortunately, it is also largely unregulated, inconsistent, and packed with special terms and clauses. Worse, it seems that even most insurance agents can’t really tell you what you’re buying when you get a policy.
The prices are constantly going up, the coverage is being scaled back, and you’re being asked so many questions about your business practices that it feels like it’d be easier to apply for a job at the CIA. And yet, you’re told that you need it.
Well, I’m here to tell you that… yes… you do need it. But I’m going to tell you why you need cyber insurance. More importantly, I’m going to tell you what you need to make sure that your cyber liability policy includes in order to make sure you’re getting your money’s worth.
